Should I tell new owners something of missing cat's history?

A nervous, but friendly, young, outdoor cat was rescued from a close relative's farm. She has been re-homed by a loving family in a neighbouring city. The cat has now gone missing.

The new cat owner has been doing everything possible to find the cat (contacted the rescue centre, put up posters, used social media and so on).

However, I am wondering if my prior knowledge of the cat would be useful.

Should I tell the owner that the cat was from a colony of feral/semi feral cats, that she spent most of her life living in outbuildings and hedges, that she used to respond to a certain name (not her adoptive name), that prior to her rescue, three months ago, she had never lived anywhere but in a very rural environment?

I want to help the cat to return safely, but I am a little concerned that the environment in which she has been rehoused is very different from the one she has known and that she has no knowledge of traffic and, prior to her adoption, she had never set foot/paws inside a house.

I think if you know the cat responds to a different name you should share that at the very least. Actually all the history might be relevant, I think as the new owner I'd be interested.

Thank you. I have posted pertinent parts of the information onto the new owner's Facebook page. I just hope she turns up safe and well.

I think your information would be really useful.

But I doubt a semi feral. Rural loving cat could be truly happy in a city. I expect the cat has gone on an adventure to find mice and hedges and grass under paw.

The cat still has not turned up. I know I am over-investing in this, emotionally, however, I really fear the worst. The cat has no experience of traffic or railway lines (both of which are close to her new home). Her more feral brothers and sisters were re-homed to farms of stables in a much more rural setting. I just feel that her familiarity with humans has led her to be placed in an environment that could be very hazardous to her.
