Kidney markers are a bit wrong but not really; so they are worrued about them
Cretase (sp?) is a bit wrong but not really; so could be pancreatitis?

He isn't eating at all - he has had 2 spaced out incidence of diarrhoea and normally he is quite a sicky cat and he hasn't been sick for a fortnight or so
His fur looks horrid (what he has left as they did an ultrasound)

I have left his to be rehydrated and have an enema Sad

When can you ring them?.

KatyMac · 14/10/2019 21:22

They rang a while back to say he'd been to the loo, had his drip, and had eaten something, so that's good but they are still flummoxed

Well that’s encouraging. See how he is after a nights sleep.

KatyMac · 14/10/2019 22:56

What do think is wrong?

KatyMac · 17/10/2019 21:36

Kidney disease and pancreatitis

Still not poo-ing properly but at least he is eating - little sod is eating stuff he wouldn't touch at home Hmm

My birman has pancreatitis. He has had it for 5 or 6 years and although the first time was horrible while they tried to diagnose it, it is very manageable once they start the medication. Now if he shows any sign of it the vets gives me the tablets and it improves almost straight away.

cricketmum84 · 17/10/2019 21:47

How old is he?

We have just had similar with our little girl. She became very ill very very quickly. Kidney markers including creatinine escalated very fast. It turned out she had been poisoned.

She was in hospital for 12 days in I.v fluids before she made an absolutely miraculous recovery.

What sort of levels are they saying for the creatinine?

I'll be keeping everything crossed for your little one.

KatyMac · 17/10/2019 21:47

Thanks for that @emmaC78 that sounds hopeful

He is 10 and I'm quite concerned

Aw bless, I'm so sorry. Hope he recovers from whatever it is, so many cats have kidney problems as they get older. At least he's in the right place at the moment.

Or of mine had acute pancreatitis. No idea how she survived. She was critically ill for a week. All paws crossed for your boy here.

KatyMac · 18/10/2019 08:54

KatyMac · 18/10/2019 20:11

Well he pooped!

But he is still on a drip and the kidney markers in his blood are still dodgy

But he is eating really well

KatyMac · 19/10/2019 20:50

He's home!

Quite cross and with lots of small cuts and sores from the procedures
