Kitten very bity

My third kitten (although it’s been years since the last so I can’t quite remember what they were like as kittens) is very bity.

He’s lovely when sleepy / asleep.
But he rest of the time he’s just ready to pounce and attack.

We just keep saying no and putting him on the floor and ignoring it and then repeat but it’s not improving.

Is this a normal kitten stage?

He’s about 12 weeks

Yeah mine was like that. He still occasionally bites and he's 3. Sorry! He did mostly grow out of it though

Yes. Does your kitten have lots of toys to play with? My kitten is 14 weeks old and just gently nibbles and licks my finger. He's obsessed with my fleecy white pyjama top, he kneads it and sucks it, I expect he thinks it's his mother. He doesn't pounce but "hides" badly then runs off to do something else mad.

I only say no if he's on the table, work surfaces, hanging from the curtains, peeing in a plant pot, rummaging in the bin etc etc.

Mines about the same age and really bitey too. I don't remember any of my others being this bad

It’s normal for that age, the best thing is to ensure they have lots of toys to keep themselves entertained. Don’t let him bite your hands, always play with a toy and not your hands. If you are stroking him and he bites, stop stroking for a few minutes. They have lots of energy to burn so the key is as much play and toys as you can.
