Need advice about next door’s cat

I have a multi car household (2 sisters and a Tom) they all get along and are 3 years old.

My next door neighbours got a kitten which must be now about 18months-2 years old. When they moved out it got left behind and lived wild for a while until my other next door neighbours took it in. Our back gardens share a boundary. This girl cat is very aggressive to humans and cats.

Unfortunately she seems to have decided to claim my garden and house as her territory! She has attacked me (I still have marks from early July when she clawed my leg) and terrorises my 3. On several occasions she has snuck into my house and sprayed and I’ve had cat fights inside. I’ve spoken to the next door neighbours and they have tried calming pet food, feliway and a spot on treatment. Their vet describes as feral.

Yesterday she snuck in again and sprayed. My house still smells despite being vigorously mopped, my cats are frightened and I’m fed up! Any ideas how to deal with this without ruining the relationship between myself and next door??

How is she getting in? Catflap? If so get a microchip cat flap. Worked for us. Last straw for me was whwn it sprayed on my £350 lsather jacket that I had scrimped and saved for. Never got the smell or stains out. Bastard cat.

Through the back door, I don’t have a cat flap so mine pop in and out. If my back is turned she is in. I’ve started spraying her with a water bottle (with permission from next door) but that isn’t much of a deterrent. My back door isn’t an easy one to fit a flap on due to moulding. Might have to bite the bullet and get one in though. 🙄

You can have catflaps fitted through external walls if your door isn’t suitable. It isn’t much more expensive or difficult to do. The flap just has a tunnel to link the entry/exit points

That’s handy to know! I’ll look into that. I just feel so sorry for my cats as they are quite distressed by it all.

I'd look at putting on in either a brick wall or a window (they're quite easy to get in glazing)
