Picked up my new kitten yesterday- thank you everyone for previous advise.

This may sounds like a stupid question but when you scoop out the wet/dirty litter what do you do with it? I've been putting it into a nappy sack and then into the bin as wasn't really sure of the etiquette? Then the scoop I just wash and a/b spray it and back in cupboard? Is this what I should be doing? Help a newbie!!!!

Yes, that's pretty much what I do. The local council in my area says all cat litter needs to be bagged before going in the bin.

In regards to the antibac spray, make sure you're using something cat-safe. Plenty of cleaning products, such as Dettol, are toxic to pets.

If you get worlds best cat litter you can flush everything down the loo. More environmentally friendly and the cat litter is very good.

That's great to know thank you both!

And just because I can't stop taking photos here is the obligatory picture!!!

If it's biodegradable you can flush it, but if it's clumping it will block your toilet!

Ahhh so beautiful! What a gorgeous baby
