I don't normally post here but have a question about one of "my" cats.
I have two cats of my own, plus a stray who I have been feeding for 3 years now. He was always greasy and dirty and wouldn't come near to touch but regularly turned up for food and to sleep in the house sometimes.
I also have 2 other cats who visit regularly.
Anyway, the stray cat was injured earlier this year and was finally caught by a pet rescue and fixed up and neutered.
I looked after the cat indoors for a few weeks after this, but he didn't want to be touched.
He has since gone back to living presumably in several houses and just visiting for food etc.
Until 2 days ago when he suddenly let me stroke him. Since then he has wanted continual fussing and sitting on laps.
What on earth could have made him suddenly become friendly after such a long time?
