Giardia, anyone had an outbreak?

I'm really struggling with this.I
We've had it for six weeks now.
We have three cats. An old lady who lives mostly outside and is showing no signs (thank god, she's 18 and started off feral)
A 3yr old and a kitten.
The young cat and the kitten are now inseparable and keep reinfecting each other.
I'm changing and disinfecting litter trays as close to each use as I can.
Washing and changing bedding twice a day, more if soiled.
Washing and disinfecting all surfaces they can get to twice daily.
Washing and disinfecting the floor and spot cleaning any drops.
Bathing them everyday (bordering on impossible without serious injury to me)
We have had two panacur treatments from the vet but no success so going back on Wednesday.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong or not doing at all.

I could cry, my young cat is so skinny and miserable it's heartbreaking.

Does anyone have experience or advice for me please?

If panache has been unsuccessful then your vet should be switching to metronidazole. we see a lot of giardia in my practice we never bother with panacur and also only ask for normal good hygiene not all the washing you are doing.

Thanks LoneC I am expecting metro (I've googled it to death) and am suitably terrified my dcats have a bad reaction but I know it needs doing.
My vet isn't a talker so even though I ask questions I'm still heading to google.
I feel so bad for them but even cuddles are impossible without a productive pump or three Sad

@TheQueef your are far better washing your hands with soap and water than using sanitizer to protect yourself. Sanitizer will not kill giardia.
But giardia is passed by faecal oral route so as long as you wash your hands before eating and drinking you should be fine. You can cuddle your cats and the just wash your hands before you eat or drink. All this washing etc. is really not necessary.
