Using urinary tract diet food for another cat?

We have a large order of Royal Canin feline urinary diet food which arrived just before our beautiful boy cat died in an accident. Can I use this food for our new male rescue cat (not kitten) who hasn’t any urinary issues? It’s supposed to prevent struvite crystals: are there any downsides to a healthy cat having it? Thank you for your help.

Our boy, had a blocked bladder and we were told to only feed him this, specifically the Royal Canin. We ended up speaking to someone neutral by sheer chance (and someone we trust) who explained the content, the ingredients and then went on to show us a range of different 'speciality' foods that are actually comprised of exactly the same ingredients. Royal Canin do have a lot of deals with vets to promote their products, like drugs and doctors.

This stuff is essentially the same as indoor cat biscuit, and isn't harmful to feed to another cat.

I would. It's too expensive to waste!

Thank you. I hoped this would be the case!
