We got a new baby!

On Monday evening we picked up our little fluffy butt. He’s now 9 weeks old. I absolutely love him, we’re slowly introducing him to our older DCat (4yrs) and so far so good. However, since it’s been 4yrs since the older one was a kitten I can’t remember if she walked the same kind of way he does. It’s like he can’t control the direction of all 4 legs at the same time. Is this normal for small kittens?

I swear Lord her name is very appropriate because she loves boxes! I had a collection of 15, large and small, that she would climb into and go to sleep. The boxes were meant for DD because she wanted to make a car out of them, but Schrödinger claimed them

Does she sleep in that crate? We had an open crate for our kitten and she got her head stuck in the bars.
Worst two mins of my life trying to bend the metal to get her out while she went limp ☹️

He does sleep in it. Don’t worry, the gaps between the bars are too narrow for his head to go through. He’s actually bigger than he looks on the photos.

I wish I had kept my old crate after my Boxer died, that was huge, had 2 doors and even smaller gaps.

I have shown my two new felines the photos and told them they have 3 Tasks. (Your Mission Is , Should You Chose To Accept It :)

It’s been over a year since we got him so thought I’d share an update. His walking is absolutely fine now, he was just very uncoordinated. His legs are very long 😂. He was neutered at 6 months which was a terrifying time because he almost strangled himself with the cord the vet tied around his cone of shame. He has fit in well with our family and I can’t even remember life before him. He is a constant ball of energy, always running around. Much to the dismay of my older cat who, I’m almost positive, thinks he’s a stupid black thing.

He has got long legs! I wonder if he might be part Siamese?

He is so handsome but he definitely knows it. He’s reminded of it every few seconds 🤣. I don’t know about being part Siamese, but he has quite a few of their familiar traits. He’s VERY chatty (to the point where he’s screaming if you don’t respond to him instantly), clingy, intelligent, playful and snuggly. My older girl is less chatty unless she’s spotted a bird outside.
