Does anyone have one? Do you rate it?

I've been looking at a Petsafe scoop-free but note the instructions say it is suitable for a cat over 6 months old. It seemed to get the best reviews (but we'll be getting kittens).

There is also a kickstarter for something called iKuddle that looks a lot more stylish (but they don't seem to have posted a video of the working unit yet).

I actually wandered back over here to see if anybody has commented on Silica cat litters. We've not had a litter box in the house for a while and it would be good to have something that wasn't as smelly. I am sure there was a reason why we never used (but really can't remember what it was)?

Kittens need to start off with kitten-safe litter in case the little blighters try to eat it.

Our cats have all learnt (eventually) to use the high-sided, cat-flapped litter trays, which come with a carbon filter in the top and smell OK -- till you lean down to clean them out and get a noseful of pure ammonia.

I would love a self flushing litter tray but you need to have it plumbed into the waste water supply.

I think the ones that scoop poop look like more hassle than they are worth. They generally have some kind of sieve which would need to be scrubbed which seems harder than just scooping.
