Fussy kitten

We have two 9 month old kittens. The girl has recently started leaving her wet food- sometimes she'll eat a little, other times won't even look at it. She's still eating dry food, drinking water, behaving normally.

I did a lot of research to find a good quality food which a high meat content. We went for animonda carny, which at the moment works out at around 60p a day for both cats. Everything else I've found seems to work out so much more expensive! I've tried looking online and local pet shop. I grabbed a few options from the supermarket to try but I can't really stick with any of them long term- some of them would work out at closer to £4 per day for both cats!

Can anyone recommend something with a high meat content that isn't too pricey? Or a way to persuade her to eat what we currently use?!

Animonda vom feinstein kitten
Smilla
Feringa
Leonardo
All do kitten & are good quality.

My cat will not eat the same wet food constantly,we have a few varieties that we feed her on a rotation.
I've also found that the high meat content tins are a lot drier,I add water before mashing up ,which she seems to prefer.

Thank you. I've mashed it with water for her a few times but it didn't make any difference. I'd always planned on using a few different brands for this exact reason but never got round to it 🙄 I was wary of doing it too early as she had a sensitive tummy when we first got her.

They can be stubborn can't they !
I also buy cosima & Lily's when on offer, just as another to add into the rotation.
If you are feeding dry also ,then she's probably getting everything she needs as they don't need much when you feed the grain free high quality ones .

There are more options for good quality foods when they are on adult food so it gets a little easier.

Thanks- yes I'm looking forward to having more options once they're on adult food!

Today she ate a little of their normal food then devoured the other stuff I'd got from the pet shop. Licked the bowl clean. Not quite as good quality as the animonda but at least she ate it.

The dry food is applaws, so grain free and I think 80% meat. They really enjoy it. So I know I don't need to worry too much as long as she'll still eat that.

Applaws is good ,Im sure I read they also make Encore which is a little bit cheaper.

There is more of a choice with high meat content dry foods .
Mine isn't fussy with dried & will eat any of the high meat ones I've bought so I at least can save some money that way if the wet is costing more than I'd like .
I've also got 4 dogs so I'm always looking for a good deal Grin
