Evil cat, ready to kill it tbh

I have two cats, they’re both nearly one. I’m trying to encourage them to start going outside. I leave the back door open and they wander out and sniff around and explore the garden and whatnot but there is a horrible cat that lives over the road from me that tortures the life out of them.

They’re jumpy cats anyway, I don’t think they had a good start in life (they had a previous owner before us who we think may have neglected them) so for them to step foot outside with all the noises of cars and things is really good. But this evil effing cat just strolls into the garden and fully attacks them.

I’ve seen it physically jump into the air, claws out, to try and fight with them. She even comes into our kitchen to try and attack them while they’re just sitting at the door. I really don’t want it to put them off going outside but I don’t know what to try.

I try and sit with them while they’re outside to scare the other cat off but it sneaks round the corner and has already tried to attack my cats and scared them so they run off inside before I even get a chance to do anything. I’ve sprayed at it with the hose a few times, I chase it out of the garden, I bang on the door (it also comes to the door when it’s closed and starts attacking it if my cats are sitting at it on the inside).

Are there any fail-safe ways of keeping a cat away for good? We have loads of cats round here and none of them are any bother, it’s just this one nasty little b*tch that seems to think it owns my garden and my bloody house!

Waterpistol, really soak the fucker.

I’ve tried using the jet on the hose on the highest possible setting but the bugger is too fast and most of the time, I miss it

What's your fence like? Can you put up some sort of deterrent?

You need to cat proof your garden.

But in the meantime don’t be frightened to get nasty (within reason) with it.

We have a evil cat nearby that attacks my cat without provocation.
It used to come into my garden and actively search for my cat.

Whenever I saw it I used to pull back on my dogs collar and whisper in her ear, where’s the cat? Go chase the cat and get her really agitated and let her out to chase the fucker.

I have tipped water over it aswell.

Hideous thing.

It’s too scared to enter my garden now but I saw it the other day sat on the fence swishing it’s tail and eyeballing my cat who was at the other end of the garden sat on the windowsill minding her own business Angry
