Cats and lilies

Is it just lily pollen that is poisonous to cats or the actual flowers?

I have been bought a lovely bouquet of flowers which unfortunately has lilies in it. At the moment they are out of reach on top of the bookcase so that dcat cannot get to them but this also means that I can’t see them to enjoy them.
Could I just cut out the pollen to make them safe or do I need to leave them out of reach?
It seems a shame for them to go to waste but won’t risk it if there is any chance that they could make dcat ill.

Thanks

I've heard even a tiny bit of dust can be fatal, so I wouldn't have them in my house at all.

It's all parts of the plant. Can you not just take the lilies out and leave the other flowers

The whole thing is toxic. Obviously it is easy for pollen to get on the Fri and be ingested.
If you have a room the cat can't get into you could put the flowers there. Otherwise remove lilies from the bouquet and either dispose of or give to someone with no pets.

Ah. That’s a shame.
I will go and see if our neighbour would like them.
The lilies make up the bulk of the bouquet so there wouldn’t be much left if I removed them.

whole plant is toxic, and not just to cats!
