Hi all I have recently rehomed a gorgeous British short hair female 5 years of age.
She is spayed, vaccinated flead and wormed.
This was very unexpected but due to a close friends personal circumstances I agreed to take her in so I'm just looking for some advice as how to give her the best life possible. So far I have for her:
Food and water bowls
Wet and dry food
Litter
Hooded litter tray
A bed
A radiator bed
Toys
Treats
She is purely a indoor cat and has never been outside so I intend to keep it this way. She has settled in well and currently is snoozing away on my knee. She doesn't seem to be interested in toys but seems very happy in herself.
I'm just wondering if anyone has any tips to give her the best life?

A scratch box? Mine has the one from pets at home, comes with catnip and a ping pong ball in. He hates scratch posts but loves the cardboard box type ones

That's the one Grin mine also likes a good nap on it. You can flip the corrugated bits over when they get worn too

Something to climb? If she likes climbing. Mine claims vertigo over 6 inches but can somehow hurl himself over a 6ft fence Hmm

Snorg says she needs a teepee.

My indoor cats go through phases of fighting over who is highest on the large cat tree, and Girlcat says the top perch next to the window is great for watching the world go by.

Come the hotter weather, you may want to consider Flatcats screens for the windows. Doesn't just stop them getting out, but also stops curious local neihbouring cats getting IN to visit.
