I already have 2 older cats one 15 the other 9 yrs old. At one stage I had 4 but my two oldies died after
Long and happy lives. Three weeks ago I got a new kitten. I kept them apart for a week and followed all the advice about slow introductions. My older girl is happy to let the kitten curl up with her and just gives her the odd biff when the kitten gets too annoying. My middle girl however has the right hump she's continually growling and until tonight has refused to come into the lounge. The kitten was asleep on the sofa with old girl and middle girl came in growling and took a swipe at her. I'm beginning to think I've done the wrong thing. I have feliway plug ins and spray. Has anyone got any advice please. I feel so guilty my middle
Girl is upset and worried she
Might hurt the kitten (who is not really bothered by her big sisters grumpiness).

Usually it just takes time.

Giving Madam Grouchy lots of attention may help. This way she will know she's not being replaced. We did that with Biggie when we brought Gatsby home. He never attacked, but he had a "WTF is THIS?" look on his face when he first saw Gatsby and was jealous for a little while.

She's getting loads I am being sure to feed the older two first. She did come and sit in the lounge last night but wouldn't relax . I do see this as an improvement as she hasn't been in there when the kittens loose before.

One of my girls took a long time to come round to the new arrival - 6 years on she just about tolerates him!

Tolerance would be good at the minute. ❤️
