Does this look like a pregnant belly?

We rehomed a cat last week. She is lovely and has settled in incredibly well. When we first saw her they were worried she was pregnant but thought she might just be a bit tubby with the saggy belly spayed cats can get. So they took her to the vet who confirmed (again) that she had a scar, so she had definitely been spayed, and therefore she was not pregnant and we could take her home.

They didn’t do any other checks as far as I know, is there any chance the operation didn’t work?

I weighed her today and she is almost exactly the same weight as when she was at the centre, but her tummy looks rounder to me. I’ve tried to take a few photos, what do you think?

I would say she isn't pregnant and she's just fat

But I want her to be pregnant
Do they nest early given the chance if they are pregnant
Can you do a test on them with their wee ? I don't know but I hope she has about ten kittens just for the cute factor

Cats are pregnant about 63 days. How long was she in the place before you got her?

She's looks tubby. I hope she's pregnant 😻

I haven’t really been prodding, more gently pushing with a flat hand, not much more pressure than a normal stroke 🙂

Has she given birth yet ?

My spayed girl has a big ol pouch (and is a bit tubby!) It makes her belly look really saggy but definitely no kittens in there!

I think it would be unlikely as they take everything out when spaying, don't they?

My male cats tummy looks like that Smile

Either way, you should get her registered with vet and they can check her over.

She is absolutely beautiful though and looks happy and settled - congrats!!!! Xx

My girl cat has definitely been done and her tummy looks like that. Actually hers is a lot bigger than that. I think my neighbor has been feeding her. She's becoming quite portly.
