I feel sick. Why the hell did she do it the babys not even a relation and has no plans to move in. It was a visitor, pram was folded up in the hall. I wasnt in Daphnes way. I never saw it happen but when the mum went to attach the car seat to it she saw the pee dribble out. Wiped it with a baby wipe and said never mind! Do i offer to get it professionally cleaned? I dont know whats going on. Last time i was away she peed on my lodgers bed. How can i stop her?

The mother wiped it with a baby wipe and said never mind?! This must be her seventh child, right?

gamerchick · 07/04/2019 23:14

Definitely tell her you insist on getting it cleaned. It'll smell bad tomorrow.

I don't know what you can do to stop her though, cats are mega arseholes. A plug in and offer a locked to her room for peoples things?

StealthPolarBear · 07/04/2019 23:14

In fairness I wouldn't have made a fuss. I would have just carried the baby home in my arms and put everything in a hot wash once home. Cat included if still in there :o

StealthPolarBear · 07/04/2019 23:16

Gamer who would clean it?

IHaveBrilloHair · 07/04/2019 23:21

Oh no, you must be mortified, bloody horrid cats.
I think you're going to have to offer professional cleaning.

One of mine pees in the corners of the living room, behavioural for no apparent reason, wee fuzzy shite.

We have just renovated our bathroom, cat peed in shower and a little bit went on the new bathmat which I washed as soon as I noticed. Bath mat still smells. I think I will need to wash it with a bio power with enzymes. I am going to try Feliway. Your visitor took it well! I would soak the pram bedding in a bucket of cool water (hot can set the smell) with a bio powder.

I would definitely offer to pay to have it cleaned. Some Pram's cost £1000+ I would still say the same if it was a cheaper one but if it's a newborn she's obviously planning to have it for a while to come.

I had quite good success with some special spray from pets at home with some enzymes in it to get rid of the smell. No matter how much I scrubbed the carpet you could still smell it until I used that. It wasn't cheap but I would 100% get it again

RottnestFerry · 07/04/2019 23:55

White vinegar has always worked for me. Cat pee is highly alkaline and the acetic acid neutralises it.

It's cheap too.

Fluffycloudland77 · 08/04/2019 07:58

Cats like a consistent scent profile in their home. The pram smelt different so she marked it.

It’s going to get more of where that came from as the child grows up anyway.
