Just that really ... they all got on fine until yesterday when I took one for her jabs . Do you think it's a smell ? If so will they get over it ? She is stressy enough as it is without them being mean to her 😩😩

Yes this is not unusual, it's the different smell. You can take a soft cloth and wipe the others around their faces and then wipe the one that's been to the vet's to make her smell like home again. Otherwise, it usually settles within a day or two anyway.

Ok thank you .. it's never happened before and she was only in and out with her jabs . I'll try that .

I'm having a similar issue with the cat I took to the groomer being hissed at by his brother that didn't go. The aggressive one (who is also acting really scared of the other) is only starting to accept him again since last night and has only hissed and run a couple of times rather than all the time. The groomer appointment was on Saturday so it has taken a few days for him to stop being mean. They are currently napping in the same room but not in the same place.

We always had this with our two, until one vet trip I cleaned out their carry-basket (which is always kept in the shed between visits) with washing up liquid before use, and that time they were okay with each other when one came back from the vet's.

I concluded it was the smell of the carry cage from the shed that made them smell alien, not the vet's, and since then I always clean it and put one of their blankets or something in to smell familiar, and haven't had nearly so much trouble since.

Should have said - we had a full week of angry/scared hissing and fighting after vet trips prior to this.

Update .. I rubbed catnip on both of them especially her as she has long hair and today he seems to have realised it's her again.. the 3 rd party boy was only freaking out because alpha cat was so all good .
