Cats with no teeth at all...

Do they manage ok? Poor little Snow cat is off to have ALL her teeth removed tomorrow. Not something I'm particularly educated about! Will she need specific food/no dry?

Thanks for replies. Will definitely try the soup. I'd buy him caviar if I thought he'd eat it!

Actually.... Wink

These were all a great success today. At £1 a sachet for the Encore, I'm going to be bankrupt by Easter! Confused

Is it neck lesions, OP, "Feline odontoclastic resorptive lesions"?

D-Cat1 has it mildly, his brother has it moderately. Vet says not to worry, they can manage fine with zero teeth! D-Cat2 is a fat porker, seems to prove Vet correct. Vet says their teeth are quite clean, just have the autoimmune disorder.

We didn't get teeth removed since my cats seem so well in themselves and taking some out won't stop the rest degrading, no benefit in risking many or prolonged surgeries.

I'm not certain, it was just described as an autoimmune disease in her mouth. She does already seem happier without the teeth, eating fairly well and quite bouncy. I just hope she continues to improve. She's a funny little thing, she's cost me ££££s in the 2 and a bit years I've had her, she's terrified of everything except me and she's certainly not the friendliest of cats... but I'm absolutely besotted with her.

@DontCallMeCharlotte morrisons has some Sheba cat gifts in heavily reduced after Christmas! I also found some soups and the lick stuff in b&m/poundstretcher type places so worth keeping an eye out

DontCallMeCharlotte · 07/01/2019 20:02

Thanks all.

I looked at the soup but it just seemed to broth with chunks of food which defeats the point. Is there a "smooth" one?

The Lick-y-lix was like crack cocaine!

And glad to see your girl is happier Justonedayatatime11.

Harry is a most excellent cat - that picture is hilarious!

The soup is broth but it's more flakes of food. Mine doesn't appear to chew any of it Hmm just gulps it
