She's done it s few times now... Her litter tray is clean so we're at s loss of why she's doing it ... She's 8 months old, perfect health

Where is her litter tray? Maybe try putting in next to the bed, or shut the bedroom door and put it at the door.

This can be a sign of a urinary tract infection. Your cat won't necessarily look 'ill'. I've heard of this happening a lot - the good news is it's usually easier to remedy than scent marking/spraying!

The other possibility is something has changed in her environment that's stressed her out? A new cat straying into her territory? Another new pet? Less time with you?

Needadoughnut · 14/12/2018 15:51

Definitely behavioural... She's done it because she thinks her litter box is not clean enough... But this time it was clean so I think she's just pissed off were not letting her go outside

Is there any reason you won’t let her out? You are going to have to keep her out of your bedroom.

WarCat · 14/12/2018 15:53

You say definitely behavioural so I'm assuming your vet has done urine tests? What were the results?

italiancortado · 14/12/2018 15:54

Cats don't get pissed off and piss on your bed for revenge. It's much more likely to be an infection.

SantyClaws · 14/12/2018 16:00

You need to see the vet - ours did that when he had cystitis. They seek out soft things to wee on.

A course of urinary care food sorted it out.

Needadoughnut · 14/12/2018 16:01

Yes, we've done tests as it's been ongoing for probably the past 4-5 months. Vet keeps thinking it's litter related I'm not so sure as the a month ago she did it while looking at us. We moved house and we haven't spayed her main reason why she can't go out. She's already booked for her surgery (also why we know she's healthy).

Ok I think you'll see it go after spaying. At her age and unspayed behavioural urination is very common indeed. In the meantime you need to keep her out of that room to stop the association between bed and toilet.

thecatneuterer · 14/12/2018 16:51

I agree with viccat. She should have been spayed four months ago. She will be coming into season and that will be causing distress. After spaying she should be ok.

Needadoughnut · 14/12/2018 16:53

We can definitely see she's a "teenage" cat. When we originally were planning to spay her vet said she was too small... Then moving house happened and now here we are. It's good to here it'll go away after spaying.
