Maine coon needs fattening up. Any tips on what wet food is best?

Just as the title says really. Cat is a little underweight and needs to put in some weight. He has Maine coon dry food and a few sachets of felix a day but I was wondering what would be best for him to gain weight?

Can you get Wellness canned wet food in the UK? A little pricey but ours have thrived on it and at every vet visit they comment on how great they look and ask what we're feeding.

High meat content grain free kitten food
Zooplus has a decent selection

@MissConductUS thanks. I will have a look
@Ollivander84 thank you. Any particular brand or name? What do I look for?

Dry food is better than wet ... wet has a high water content so doesn’t ‘feed’ as much. Buy a good quality dry food.

How much does he need to put on? Does he have any medical problems?

Cosma nature
Almo nature
This one was like cat crack for mine https://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/cats/kittenproducts/kittenwetfood/1743533__

I also changed his dry food to kitten food
This one, which he actually climbed in the cupboard to try and eat_ Hmm

@Secretmum41 I've taken him to the vets and he's had blood tests and a urine sample tested...both came back fine. The vet advised me to just feed him more and then to take him back in the new year and possibly have a kidney scan for him. He's been inside for over a week ( due to wearing a collar after getting a abscess drained ) and has put on a bit of weight so she was happy with that. He is quite a anxious cat and I think he was getting stressed with being outside so I've put his litter test inside again and I'm keeping him in definitely untill the collar comes off and possibly after that if he's happier being in overnight

@Secretmum41 oh and he has a mixture of both wet and dry food. He's on Royal Canin Maine coon food. He has a food dispenser so it's available at all times for him

Ah - I just had the same issue. Switched to
one of the vets own purina dry which was more tailored to my cat (female neutered) and Purina gourmet wet (the only good that she absolutely loves). Feeding more often worked for us too: morning, evening and bedtime 'snacks'. She's put on a kilo since she came to us from the rescue - vet now happy.

Another recommendation for Von Feinstein ,my little horror still loves it ,she's on the adult varieties now.

I only buy grain free biscuits, wild freedom ,Nutro (green bag ) or similar high meat content.
You should notice a difference, the ingredients are so different to most commercial foods.
