How to lose the litter tray

New Rescue Cat has settled in well and now pops into the garden regularly. We have a cat flap that RC can use any time, day or night, though she never stays out long.

I'd like to lose the litter tray. What's the best way to do this? Take it away? Move it closer to the cat flap?

I'd keep it tbh. You never know when it might be needed. I still have ours and it will get peed in occasionally if the weather is bad

A responsible cat owner will always have a litter tray imo. I know some may disagree, but unless your garden is cat proofed it is antisocial to actively encourage your cat to soil neighbouring gardens; it is also impossible to monitor whether your cat develops urinary problems or diahorrea.

My cat just suddenly decided to never use a litter tray. Kept it for months unused before putting it away.

I know my mum moved the litter tray outside, then to a flower bed, then just put litter on the flower bed. They soon got the idea.
