Missing Cat :-(

My beloved cat has been gone nearly a week. Please does anyone have any lost cat come back stories to cheer me up and give me hope.

He does. Very hungry, and sounds hoarse, but essentially ok I think. Now snoozing in the dog basket

You should only feed him small meals to start with. Little and often. Big meals after starvation can be very dangerous.

I very pleased he's home.

I’m so pleased he’s back. Does he seem dehydrated at all?
May be safest to keep him somewhere with hard flooring (obviously a bed) and a litter tray overnight in case sudden food causes an upset tum.
And obviously he’s grounded. Indefinitely.
TBH I’m a neurotic mare and would probably want a vet to check him over. That’s my anxiety though.

Oh this thread gives me hope.
My cat has been missing for 6 days now 😥 I'm hoping he might show up in next 24 hrs as it was the evening of bin day that he didn't come home, maybe he's trapped in a garage or bin store.
I've contacted vets and rescues, his chip is up to date. I've put leaflets through letter boxes and pounded the streets shaking the dreamies. Even got some dirty washing on the line to attract him home, neighbours must think I'm mad! I will try the litter box outside too.

Tbh, although I was being positive for the DC, I did not believe he would be back.
