Kitten suckling help!

We have 2 four month old kittens (boy and girl) and have had them since they were 9 weeks old. The girl has suddenly started suckling on us; hands, arms, ears, face and no matter how much we push her away she keeps coming back for more! Is there anything we can do to dissuade her from this?

I kept a kitten from a litter I bred and the daughter just would not stop suckling. Her mother was silly enough to let her continue. So in that case it was definitely not too early weaning! As they were purebred and registered with the Cat Fancy the kits didn’t leave home until after 12 weeks.

My rescue kitten did this on me too. He was found with his brother abandoned when they were probably 2 weeks old and they were hand raised. In the end I had to put him in my daughter's bedroom with a fleecy blanket for him to suckle because he was obsessed with me and would wake me up in the night sucking my neck! He suckled the blanket instead and still does at times altho he's now 3 years old. If he hadn't settled with my daughter tho I would have kept him with me as he obviously need comfort.

My hand raised rescue kittens both did this initially - one on me and the other on him, like some sort of weird cat-human hybrid suckling centipede.

The one that does it on me still does it 3 years on, but the other grew out of it. We’ve got a great little bond.
