Cat peeing and pooing in the house

My cat has been with us for 9 years. Always been nervous. She hasn't enjoyed the fact we have a 3 year old dd but they generally avoid each other. We've always had issues with her randomly weeing in the house on sofas and beds. Not had an incident for months though.
This week she's weed on my dds bed pooed on the toilet floor and just weed on the sofa in front of me. Each time she's had access to a litter tray (clean she never uses it) or someone who will.let her out. (Won't use cat flap)
She's on 2x zylkene a day and have the felliway plug in.
I'm going to book into the vets but I'm at my wits end and am even considering rehoming. This is last option as I'd feel guilty that she might not find another home. The alternate is she lives outside which is horrible thought as we go into winter.
Any other ideas?

Could fireworks be upsetting her? There's been a lot here all week - even the rain hasn't put them off.

My cat did this for a few weeks after we moved house. I feel your pain.
Now she has got used to her surroundings she has settled down and always goes outside now to pee.

She was not keen on using the cat flap but I used to hold it open so she could walk through easily. Once she got used to it I stopped opening the door for her and she soon learned that the cat flap was actually a good idea.

Did anything happen recently that would unsettle your cat? New couch? New carpets? Yes I know, but cats are fussy creatures

It might be fireworks but we've not had loads. The other cat is in the dog house now as she has pooed on the carpet while I was out this morning Angry

My cat used to poo on the floor all the time and we discovered that she wanted her tray to be somewhere totally private. Since we moved it's been better as her tray is in the conservatory and can't be seen unless you go into the room and she hasn't had an accident since. She also has access to the garden but prefers her tray.

I feel your pain. Both my cats stage dirty portests in the kitchen and poo on the floor from tiem to time but my girl cat wees on beds. She is shut out of every bedroom now but if anyone forgetfully leaves a door open she is in there like a shot. The vet claims she does not do this out of habit but I really don't believe this. She wees on a beanbag in the kitchen (now thrown out) or any bag you leave lying on the floor (DS's schoolbag once). it's a bloody nightmare. Once one of them did the sofa but thankfully that was a one off.

She never wees in her own beds!

Make sure the soiled areas have been cleaned thoroughly as cat's have very good smell and will continue to use those areas as they now think that's where they should go. Pet shops sell cleaning sprays especially for this. You spray it all over and leave for about 20 mins and then clean and the smell should be gone.
