Came home to lovely unusually affectionate cat, who knows the kitchen counters are off limit, only now I come in to decide what me and dh are having for tea and I find a trail of muddy paw prints across the kitchen counters Grin

We've had that with mice @SpoonBlender One was left in three parts in the living room on Christmas day. Lovely present! At least we had no more mice in the flat.

My old cat ate a bird on Christmas day, just leaving the little spindly legs behind and was then very sick with an infection.

Many years ago I heard a noise in the kitchen while I was having lunch and went to investigate. Saw my neighbours two cats chowing down on the rest of the sausages I had cooked and was leaving to cool to use at another time. They managed to get in through a small kitchen window. I had to laugh.

Toftb your dcat is definitely looking cross about you sharing that with us!

I am very cross with my dcat today so this is very good timing, this thread.
I woke this morning to see my dcat turding on the duvet next to me????!!!!!!
I will have to turn everything upside now to accommodate him, as he hates using litter tray and toilets outside all summer wouldn't dream of toileting indoors. Right now, he won't go out. Although at the moment he won't come in...he's found a spot outside under cover with the bikes and other stuff, he likes to sleep in the bag for life! So it thundering, lightning and raining out there and he flatly refuuses to come in
He eats the ddogs food (they are big ddogs! They wouldn't hesitate to shout loudly at another ddog trying such a cheap trick, but dcat has long wrangly arms with v sharp class for snatching, and they just sit and sadly watch as it all unfolds under their noses.
Sadly, when I can get him to use the litter tray, the ddogs eat his poo! And they will destroy the litter tray to get to it.
Hence the tray is very carefully positioned so they can't get in, but I think he can't either!
I have a problem whatever way I try it!
Bloody dcat I bloody luffs him! And bloody ddogs Grin

Mine came to my back door with a life bird in his mouth. I thankfully got him to let go and the bird soared into the sky like superman. I got a lot of dirty looks after that. If I'm upstairs he will scratch a my stairs carpet to get my attention. When i tell him to stop i swear to god I can actually see him smirk!!

Many years ago we had my in laws and my husband's grandmother staying with us. We were awoken in the morning by a pathetic cry for help from the grandmother. The cat who was hand raised but from a feral litter was sitting on the cistern in bathroom hissing and spitting at grandmother and refusing to let her in.
