Cat missing for 5 days - distraught!

My beautiful 3 year old calico hasn't been seen Wed night! She is an indoor-outdoor cat and loves to hunt. We live in a village in a rural area. I am distraught here, I don't know what else to try, I miss her little face so much. I know she was here Thurs early morning as she left me a mouse on the front doormat! But she didn't appear for breakfast and we were then away till Sat night and the neighbour who came in to feed her and out other cat didn't see her. One neighbour thinks she saw her nearby on Fri night near a big firework display so she may have been spooked. She is chipped and neutered.
I have:
checked house and garden
told chip company
called vets
used social media to ask people to look for her
put posters up
knocked on neighbours to ask them to check sheds etc
walked round calling for her
put contents of vacuum bag and her favourite blanket in the back garden

Is there anything else I can do? I have just been sat here crying, I can't bear to think of her scared or hurt or worse.

How worrying. It sounds like you've done the right things. If she has a litter trayyou could leave that out too for the smell. I hope she appears again soon.

Animal search uk have a website that lists missing/found pets and will print off posters and organise searches if needed, I found them very good when one of mine went missing.

I also found putting leaflets through letterboxes where I live was more effective than just knocking, people kept the notice and my phone number (the downside was I got calls about my other same colour cat!)

Publicity is the best thing, she may just be lost in a different area if she bolted with the fireworks, so posting further afield may help.

I hope she puts in an appearance soon, it is so traumatic when they go missing.

Any update. Maybe shes hiding from the fireworks and now theyre tailing off she'll venture home xx

No, still no sign. Every morning, I come down and every time I come home, I open the hoping to find her curled up on her favourite cushion, but no luck.

When she was 6 months old, we had a house fire and while our older cat scarpered (and then returned the next day), this little one hid behind a heavy piece of furniture in the living room. It took us ages to find her as she didn't come out when we called her or when we put food down. Eventually, the older cat calling tempted her out.

I am hoping that she is hiding somewhere safe and will emerge soon. I keep telling myself no news is good news, as it means she hasn't been found dead and her chip scanned....

As we are so rural, I'm in the process of asking local landowners if I can search their fields/barns etc.

It's just the worst feeling. I unfortunately know it well. Asking to look in barns etc is definitely a good idea. You really need to rule out her being trapped in somewhere. It will also galvanise people into keeping a look out for her. Good luck.

If she's a hider it might be worth putting out a baited trap close to your house. I have an ex feral that is terrified when she's outside and too scared to come back inside; she's managed to escape twice and both times we caught her in a trap.

I had thought she was gone for good as there was no sign of her at all but she must have been hiding close by all the time.
