home visit for euthanasia?

Sadly my cat's just been diagnosed at CHAT Clinic with aggressive cancer, given 2-3 months but not looking like she'll last that long, she's very weak despite being given daily Prednicare steroids.

It's so awful to have to plan this, but I have to think of what's best for her, it's not about me, and I really think a quick injection quietly at home on her favourite sofa is what she would appreciate. She's a nervous little cat at the best of times, never really recovered from whatever happened to her before she was rescued by the wonderful Celia Hammond.

Don't want to stress her out again with a car ride to the clinic when the time comes for euthanasia, wondering if anyone knows a vet who'll do a home exit visit for a reasonable price in Walthamstow London E17? Googled and found a mobile London vet for about £400, she's certainly worth the extra cost but that really seems excessive. Any ideas?

Very sad, RIP Jet. How lovely to have her at the end of the garden. All our late pets are at the end of our garden. We've always had ours PST at home- we are lucky to have a vet that comes to the house for free for all non emergency treatments. Unfortunately he's about to retire! I think I will use the vet that we use for the horses in future, as he's always here for something.

Lovely Jet taking the difficulty and upset out of your hands. I hope you're all ok.

She and her kittens were lucky to find you. She was lucky to have you as her humans for those years.
I’m so sorry for your loss. Flowers

So sorry she's gone, at least she knew love and kindness and you will see her in her offspring. Flowers

i would recommend to take your pet to vet who knows him/her and treated. It will be more comforting for your pet to see a familiar vet. Had a horrendous traumatic experience with home euthanasia from Cloud 9 vets. They sent vet-butcher who caused my dog lots of pain when putting her to sleep. She Was putting the first injection near my dogs back/tail where bone is. Twice and in the wrong place! till I told her to inject near the neck where is more flesh. They don’t post negative reviews on their website at all. Only 5 stars. Trust pilot 5 star reviews are left by associates etc. On s good note they charge very little for their service - just 400 pounds for euthanasia and if you ask them to cremate then another 400 pounds. I have to be sarcastic as it feels like one of owners herself watches/replies all negative reviews and asks online vendors to remove them. Just avoid at any cost - Cloud 9 vets!
