Was told by the rescue that Persian food makes Cheddar sick. She had a mixture of that and the food the rescue were giving her with no Isuzu's for 3 weeks. She was very sick last Thursday, and again on Sunday at that cattery and again just now.
She's not unwell at all in herself and has eaten since. I've been out all day and the bowls were empty. She's very greedy and eats lots. Could it be this that's making her sick? Anyway to slow her down.

Yes. My boy will frequent bolt his food down, vomit and then ask for more Hmm. I know you can get bowls to slow dogs down, you can probably get one for a cat too

Yes, it's very common. I suppose the way to stop it is to just give them small amounts at any one time. It's a bit of a faff though.

Yes.

As can fur balls so some fur ball paste is worth a go. I found swapping from whiskas to felix helped a bit so might be worth trying different food.

Only feed half a sachet a time.

I believe you can buy special slow feeding bowls as well.

I'll also try moving the bowls further apart as I wonder if she thinks Snorg is going to eat it all so she's bolting it down.

Just ordered a low feeder. Hopefully she can get her flat face in it.

Boycat does this, bolts down as much as he can then throws it all up right away - you can see the shapes of the food and everything Envy(not envy). It always surprises me just how much food a cat can fit in his stomach!

I know! I've never seen so much sick!! But cheddar seems to do everything in giant proportions, according to the contents of the litter tray every morning! TMI!

My boy cat does this too. It was so bad it rotted his teeth and he had to have 3 out.

I now buy special food with bigger pieces that he has to crunch on, this slows him down and 80% of the time he doesn't puke anymore. It's Hills Science Plan Oral Care cat biscuits. Expensive but worth it. His teeth have been OK since too.
