Just had my cat pts

My very special cat was pts this afternoon after being hit by a car. He's been in the vets all weekend and I was so hopeful he'd be saved. He was totally fabulous and he'll be missed very much. I feel totally devastated.
So I'm putting this on here just so I can say how bloody amazing he was.
Night frankie.

Poor you, and poor cat. I'm sure he was a lovely cat. Flowers

Hope you can remember him fondly as the pain subsides.

I had to have my cat PTS yesterday too, due to old age (18) which caught up with him. The last couple of days he was struggling to breathe, barely moving, wasn't eating and was weeing all over the place which was out of character. We took him to the vet who said he had a load of fluid on his organs, indicating possible heart disease, kidney disease or liver failure. We didn't want a barrage of tests when he was so uncomfortable as we couldn't guarantee he'd live to get the results, so made the decision to put him down. My head tells me it was the right decision but my hears tells me I'll miss him so much. I keep forgetting and expect to see him in his favourite spots. Sad

Its funny how you get so attached to them seeing as they're only attached to us when they want something. Hmm

Barry sounds awesome and like he'd leave a massive hole, and I'm so sorry for you spidey.

Franks was such a friendly loving cat. Even after he'd been hit by the car (multiple pelvic fractures and nerve damage to his back end) he dragged himself home and onto our bed as it was his favourite place to be. In the vets he still purred and nestled into my hand.

This is so fucking awful. I'm walking round with this horrible feeling of doom, and then when I remember why I feel sick and want to cry.

Thanks for all the amazing cats and their faithful slaves.

I'm so sorry to hear that Sad - he sounds such a character and it must have been the most tortuous wait this weekend. Flowers

So sorry to hear about your loss. Frankie sounds like a brave and lovely boy who will be missed.
I lost cat Molly just over two weeks ago. She was also hit by a car but died at the scene, they didn't even stop. I really miss her.

I'm so sorry meala. It's horrid isn't it? They leave such a hole. Thanks
