Advice regarding 15 week old kitten and being at home

Hi all,

Just looking for a bit of advice.
We have a 15 week old long haired kitten who we adore. Myself and DP have been taking it in turns to come home at lunchtimes as we both work full-time and depending on work commitments/ meetings etc.

Anyway - our car went into the garage today and isn't ready. It should be ready tomorrow but we aren't sure when might not be until 5pm.
I'm going to be travelling via public transport to a meeting for work. The plan was my DP would come home to check on the kitten but without a car he won't be able to.

We have never left the kitten for more than 5 hours and are nervous about tomorrow.
We don't have anyone nearby to ask for help.
We will be out the house from about 8pm - 5pm which will be the longest she has been alone.

Someone please tell me she will be ok?!?
Or should I try find a local pet sitter/ dog walker to check on her?

He’ll be fine.

At that age Dh went home every day and not only did the cat not give a shiny one if he did or not but he actively preferred me.

“Oh, mommy’s other bigger pet is here” was the attitude.

Can you get a camera? I do that if I'm
Away overused if I'm worried about them. It's very reassuring.

Thank you!

I'm sure it's more for our sake than the kittens that we go home at lunchtime, not that we are obsessed or anything, I guess since it's the first day we have to leave her for longer I am just panicking.
I definitely think I might look into a camera if this is going to be more than a one off.
