Quick 'Katzecure' update!

Looked for ages for a cat proofing system that wasn't the ugly netting/prison type. Found Katzecure rooted around for reviews started a thread on here and finally it's in!

Cats are safe very happy and no attempts have been made to get out and it's very unlikely a cat would get in given the position of the rollers.

Just thought I'd post a quick update just in case anyone was looking for something similar.

That's good to hear. Any chance of a photo? And how much it cost?

QueenOfIce · 05/05/2018 17:17

We have a 30ft by 40ft (ish) garden and it cost £1900 not cheap, however you can do it yourself if you're able. It was worth it to know that they're safe and our girl cat who rarely ventured out in our old house is loving her new space which is so nice to see.

We had to add a little trellis on 1 wall as it wasn't high enough.

No it's not cheap is it! It's handy to know a ball park figure. I've thought about it myself, but I have so many high shrubs and small trees and things which would have to be cut down or they would compromise it. Is yours basically a bare space?

QueenOfIce · 05/05/2018 17:29

Yes for now, they are so helpful if you send them some photos they can give you a rough idea of how they can combat the cats climbing the shrubs etc.

They really were brilliant and quick!

Wow, that's really pricy....do your fences have to be a certain height? What do you do with trees etc?

Rockhopper10 · 17/02/2020 08:16

Thanks for the info about Katzecure...are you still happy with it? Have also been looking for a way to secure our garden for cats, and this seems like the best option if you don't want your garden to look like a prison exercise yard! Anyone else got any experience of this type of fencing? Or any other way to secure a garden for a cat?

Fluffycloudland77 · 17/02/2020 10:06

I don’t think that’s an excessive price really, not to have it fitted for you as well.

Hamsterian · 17/02/2020 18:53

It’s not cheap but I swear by it! Had it in one house and when we moved, we got it again. It’s great for peace of mind and also keeps other cats out so avoids scraps with neighbourhood cats and all that.
They do a survey and advise on all the existing shrubs etc in order to have a secure system.
