I have an apple and a pear. I only started to notice their shapes, when my last cat joined the household and she's definitely a pear. My other puss is a little apple, like myselfGrin

One is big and chunky, the other is more petite and refined.

Bean bag shaped according to a vet! They have little stubby legs and no neck. So difficult to differentiate which end is which!

LanguidLobster · 30/04/2018 14:22

Ok, well...she's an elegant little ballerina cat, apart from

MilkTwoSugarsThanks gorgeous. It's amazing how there are so many of these beautiful, blackhaired cats. I'd never seen one until mine turned up at the door.

Lean, obvious waist and well muscled fore and hind legs.
I can only find a picture of the boy today all tucked up.

Long & lean, apart from the slightly saggy tummies they have from living indoors. Love watching them bounding up & down stairs, as you can see the muscles in their shoulders & flanks bulging. Sadly having issues with photos, so can't do a pic of them in all their glorious inky blackness.

shockedballoon · 30/04/2018 17:56

Sort of.. melting snake shape..?

They're both quite lithe. Wish I could say the same for myself!

LostPlatypus · 30/04/2018 18:12

Mine is long and skinny with a bit of a saggy tummy (not sure if she had kittens as a stray or she's just been a bit chubby at points). She's always been relatively shapeless even when the vet said she was a bit on the heavy side when she was younger. She just gets fluffier with her winter coat and that's it.

I love all your gorgeous interesting shaped kitties. Our old family cat was short and stocky, with a bent tail (she was born with it) so apparently I'm drawn to rectangular cats!

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 30/04/2018 18:16

One of my chums described Basil as being like a big bobbly blanket Hmm. Is that a shape?

One of ours is a squishy barrel (and lovely for cuddling). The other is dainty, lithe, athletic and elegant (everything I'm not!), but with the empty pouch of skin underneath at the back. It's actually an evolutionary device called a primordial pouch, to protect against an opponent's shredding claws. It's fondly known as puggage in our house.
