I don't have a cat, I would love one but DP isn't fussed and we have a baby on the way so it's not the right time. To alleviate my pain please share with my some pictures of what your cats are up to today 😻

Gorgeous beasts! Lovely to see so many black cats. I remember reading something from CP along the lines of black cats being dumped because didn't take good selfies - don't mean the cats couldn't use phone because lack of opposable thumbs - but black blob syndrome, as mentioned above.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 06/05/2018 07:29

@strawberrylove
Can't resist a one-eyed cat. Here's an old boy of mine (long gone I'm afraid). He was a real character and the loss of an eye never bothered him at all.

Why no cats again? Smile Are they so bad?

@Want2beme - sorry for not coming back to the thread!!!

No Barney doesn't stay overnight, he normally goes in to 2 of my neighbours houses as they have no other pets. He only really comes in if both of them are out.

Technically he's a stray, but he'd become a bit of a six-dinner-sid long before his original owners disappeared and has steadfastly refused all community intervention to get him a permanent home. To be honest, given that he has 2 meals a day in one house, 2 meals a day in another, 1 meal a day from us (2 if he looks pathetic enough), houses 1 & 2 co-ordinate his de-fleaing and worming treatments, 2 other neighbours take on feeding duty if regular feeders are away... he's better looked after than many other cats who do have a home!

Leroy absolutely adores Barney, but I do have to watch them like a hawk because if they were to have a spat, however unlikely, and Leroy bit Barney it would be a death sentence for him.

QueenOfIce · 07/05/2018 09:23

Icc7 they are disruptive, messy and not at all affectionate, a rock would have been a similar pet but cost far less!! And besides that I love mine so much I don't think I could ever love another weirdo Grin
