New kitten worries

So our long awaited maine coon kitten is coming home next week, but suddenly I have all these questions and worries?
Is our house kittenproof? What should i look out for in terms of dangers in the house?
I usually open bedroom windows in the morning to let fresh air in, can i still do that or could he fall out?
I read that initially kitten should be just in one room of the house? With our layout it's a bit tricky to do that, is it important?
Also DC have sports activities every day next week, can i leave the kitten home alone for a few hours on his first few days?
Where would he sleep? Alone downstairs seems cruel? Take him to the bedroom?
Sorry it's a lot of questions! I'm panicking a bit!

How can you make it clear to a kitten that that's not on? The biting and catching of feet and hands, specially at night
(Other than to move him out of my bedroom)

They grow out of it. Ours stopped after neutering at about 6 months.

He’s very beautiful.

Oh, he is lovely. Plenty of play with one of these, and he'll tire out. Attacking anything that moves is a kitten's prerogative Grin

Oh he is so cute!
I forgot dcat used to pounce on hands and feet in bedcwhen he was a kitten. They just grow out of it - eventually! Grin

Oh how adorable! That's a determined look in his eye though.

He is gorgeous!!

He's so handsome. I remember blocking up the chimney and under the dishwasher to prevent hooligan kittens escaping. Also ALWAYS check the washing machine and tumble drier before setting them going.
When he's neutered it's also worth getting him microchipped. And if he does want to get out can you cat proof your garden or even create a catio??!

I imagine he will want to go out as well. I use flat cat screens and they are brilliant worth every penny.

How beautiful is he!

I have a MC who will be 2 in June and he still hunts feet, my boyfriend seems to forget this and always gets attacked :)
