Cat pooing on the spare room bed

We moved from a one bed flat to a two bed just after Xmas. Our cat (aged around 5-6) seemed to settle in fine and appears to be enjoying the extra space. However last week she pooed on the guest bed and she has just done it again this morning. She never did anything like this in our last home, in fact we always laughed that she would run in from outside to use her litter tray. I don't suspect she is ill. She seems fine with her litter tray. Of course the move would be unsettling but why start a dirty protest now?! Does anyone have any idea as to why she is doing this and any steps to stop her. Keeping her out of the room can be done but I am worried she will then start pooing on our bed (very difficult to keep her out of our room). She is very, very loved and otherwise seems very content. Any guidance much appreciated.

I'd take her to the vet for a check over.My cat pooed on my bed when he had an infection and the poo went on my head!
Also is her current litter tray big enough and emptied enough? Some cats only like to use the tray once and like it really clean.

Thank you, her litter tray is cleaned regularly but I agree taking her to the vet is a good idea as it is so out of character. Thank you for responding.

Since my original OP she has managed to get into the room twice and has peed on the bed both times. Any ideas?

Could be something to do with the litter box and that cat suddenly deciding they don't like it for some reason, could be to do with the type of litter, the type of tray or even the location of the tray, maybe try changing the location and the brand of litter and see if that makes any difference?
