Ideas for tempting, high nutrient cat food

My boy, a four year old Burmese is off his wet food, leaving it in his bowl. He doesn't seem keen on the dry stuff either. Please could I have ideas as to what brand of food might be the best to tempt him? Obviously we'll be taking him into the vet for a check up if this goes on.

Smelly food, cats will not eat food they can't smell. Warming food ever so slightly in the microwave can help. If regular food fails tuna or pilchards.
Any cat that has not eaten anything for 12 hours should be seen by a vet. Not eating can cause serious heath consequences to cats.

Thanks so much, I'll try those ideas.

How much is he eating each day? Cats sometimes go through phases where they eat less, but if he's eating very small amounts he does need to see a vet sooner rather than later.

Something fishy might attract him. I have an old cat who always wants food but can be fussy and always changing her mind over what she'll eat. Generally Felix as good as it looks fish is the favourite, however, I do vary it with the Gourmet cans and Sheba trays which she'll sometimes eat. She would only ever eat flakes, but likes Gourmet ocean fish terrine so that might be worth trying.

Sainsburies have a line called the delicious range, and my cats all love it. And they were really picky.

They do shredded meat sachets and tins, and a mousse one. Both high in meat content and complete food.

The shredded meat one might be your best bet, the fish range has mackarel, tuna loin, sardine and salmon. I’ve found mackarel is my 3s favourite.
They do single tins for 65p if you want to try them before buying a full pack.

I'm having this with my old boy. His latest thing is that he won't eat anything that seems familiar, so I have a huge stockpile of foods that have to be carefully rotated. Some will only be eaten warm so they get 10-15 seconds in the microwave.

When our old girl went off her food boiled chicken or turkey breast got het to eat again.
Thrive or Schesir wet food look and smell like real meat and fish-not cat food and can be heated up. If you just want a couple of times vets sell them, Pets at Home may do.

Mine loves the applaws mousse, you can get individual tins at pets at home
