Oh dear, the old boy has gone

Very sad today, he's been with us since we rescued him 15 years ago. He was nearly 20. Had to be PTS this afternoon. I had forgotten how big a space they leave.

Oh Bitter I seem to have something in my eye.

No, Eliza, DCat2 (now 16) has always believed he is the Chosen One and could never quite understand why we even spoke to Fatso. He has very pointedly today gone and sat in Fatso's spot on the sofa. It's lucky he's a vair beautiful boy and talks to us endlessly otherwise we might consider this to be rather disrespectful behaviour. I suppose he just might be seeking Fatso's smell - maybe that's the more generous take on it!

I have lots of pictures of Fatso (actually his name was Tibby) above my desk, which are helping. Honestly, you wouldn't think that in real life I am a hard bitten old gimmer, would you?
