Is my spayed cat on heat?

I have never knowingly seen a cat on heat, plus I got ny female torties at 4 months from CPL, and both had been spayed.

Over the last few weeks, one of them (now 18 months old) has started falling down on the floor in front of me, and rolling around excessively, curling herself around the table leg (from a lying position), and just basically being very odd!

She is a Mummy's girl, for sure, so I wouldn't put her past just wanting a tummy rub, plus she is also enjoying the warmer weather and just getting the chance to go out and climb trees.

But what is up with her? She is rolling as though I've given her cat nip, and then all stretched out like a little hairy Superman. No weird noises though. Any ideas?

Mine does that. She’s just likes attention. When I get up in the morning and when I get in from work in the evening that’s how she greets me. I’ve seen cats in heat before and this is different. Mine is a rescue and spayed.

Sometimes when cats a spayed a bit of the ovary gets left behind and they continue to come into heat. It's probably not that, but be aware. If the local toms start howling outside then you know she'll need another trip to the vet to find the bit that was missed.

2 of mine do this. It's not anything like when they were on heat before being spayed, I wouldn't worry

Ok thanks. She is very affectionate and also very playful so I shouldn't be surprised that she is throwing herself around for attention. I guess she is just pleased that spring is coming! Thanks
