My boy Harry is very very itchy all the time, and he's losing more fur than usual. I've inspected his skin as much as he'll allow (he's not a very friendly boy!) and his skin seems quite dry..

Can't get into the vets until end of next week, anyone have any ideas what it could be? He doesn't have fleas or a tic (sp?) that I can see. Photo for cuteness

They do eat thrive dry food and that's 90% meat so i don't mind if the wet food is a bit crap. They seem to have cut back on the wet food a bit and eat more dry

They used to eat bozita kitten stuff too but it had an awful lot of jelly compared to meat

Yes bozita is more jelly, it's one of the cheaper ones although mine adore it.

Thrive is pretty much the best dry food out there, I am sure they will be fine. Mine have Applaws as they came to me on that and it's good so kept them on it. I toyed with raw feeding for a while and they were horrified and went on hunger strike!

Many cats do well on poorer quality foods but if a cat is showing signs of allergy a lot of the time it's grains in the food causing it.

It could be from having the heating on a lot in this cold weather. Particularly if your cat goes outside, and then comes back in to the warm house irritating his skin. Our dog is the same.
