Hi
We’ve brought our new rescue cat home today and as it years since I’ve had one I was hoping you lovely lot could give me some tips and advice please? Such as cat litter-there’s more brands than I can count! Which is best? Food? I bought whiskas pouches as that was what he had at the rescue but he will need dry food too-help!

Beautiful boy 😻We never had problem with Royal Canine, also all the cats I know absolutely go crazy for shrimps ( but only few, as a treat) x our loves those cardboard scratching posts and toys stuffed with catnip and we recently bought her that hammock you hang ona radiator, she is loving it, also you can't go wrong with cardboard boxes, all cats love those lol we always have one around x

Aw, bless him. Did you scare him or is he hungry? My boy will gently nibble on my feet to let me know he wants to eat.

Some cats just know when they are in the right place. I fostered an old lady cat (19) who was cantankerous and bad tempered. The first person who came to see her she tried to bite.

Months later a woman brought her 90 year old mother to see her, mother sat down, cat was handed to her and she settled down on her knee as if that's where she had always slept.

They had discussed what would happen if the cat outlived the mum.

A few days later I took her round to her new home and she looked around as if to say, "Yes my new human has supplied me with a more than adequate dwelling".

I quite like Eric for a name, although I think Weasley names are also good for gingers. And obviously Henry is a good ginger name which I think would also suit him.

Try Royal Canin. It's the stuff vets recommend. You can get it delivered by Amazon. It seems expensive but isn't. It's about £14 a bag but a 2kg lasts over 2 months. And their poop and breath don't smell bad. Don't buy GoKat. We ran out and gave our cat that for one day. The poo smell was horrific.

sashh most of the Weasley names are people in our family so not allowed Sad
We did think of Henry but dh said no.
How wonderful for the lady and the cat! I do think some rescues put barriers up to what would be perfect owners. Everybody is different and every animal is different too.
fox shall try it thanks think our vets sell it. Go cat is a no-noted Grin
