We can no longer keep our cat, how do we go about rehoming?

Unusual pedigree cat...

My DS has developed an allergy to him. It's been going on for over a month now (at first just though let it may be a cold) however he's fine when cat not around but within minutes of him coming into Room his eyes swell up, stream and he can't stop sneezing.

He's a 4 yo Bengal. Beautiful large cat. Shall I go to social media or is there an organisation?

Anti allergy meds, for how long? Life so she can have a cat? No def don't do this

Your contract with the rescue will almost certainly expect you to return him to them. While you're waiting, Petal Cleanse wipes really helped here (dp is always allergic to new cats but acclimatises eventually), and try an antihistamine for ds.

Good luck Flowers

I was allergic as a dc, gradually became immune, had loads of dcats over the years, 1 of our ddogs makes me itch, hand wash and don't touch my eyes and am fine!! See a Dr before making any decisions. Your dc will feel awful and blame himself if you get rid.

Spoke to rescue centre we got him From, they want him back and will just take a few days to sort foster home 😢

That's a shame but probably for the best, it won't take long, he is really lovely and I'd have taken him if you lived nearby Flowers

Oh gosh. I've been looking for a Toyger but couldn't afford one! I would come up and rescue him in an instant... assuming he could cope with an opinionated tortie matriarch and the black and white bandit.

Aw, fingers crossed!

Has the dr confirmed an allergy using a blood test or a skin test?

It's just that if you re-home & it's something else in the house you've lost your cat for nothing.
