Cat limping

One of my 1 year old cats has been limping. Took him to the vet just over a week ago and they said could be an abscess from a cat bite but couldn't see any injuries (I had checked for that already). They gave me liquid painkillers and antibiotic tablets and said if painkillers didn't make a difference within a few days to start on the antibiotics. He has now finished the course and still seems to be limping. Will have to take him back to the vet but does anyone have any idea what the problem could be.

He is still eating and wants outside and will climb up and down fences and jump up on the windowsill, etc but he still favouring one front leg over the other.

He could be faking. Ours has done it.

Your going to have to take him back regardless.

Back to the vet.

One of mine started limping and when I took him to the vet they found a small puncture wound, probably from his brother! He was given painkillers and antibiotics but he continued limping. After a week I took him back and another bite was found on his elbow joint. It turned out he had an infection in the bone. It took quite a long time to clear up and he had the indignity of having his leg shaved so he looked like a poodle but he eventually got better. Unfortunately it also ended up costing us nearly £700 to get him sorted - thank goodness for insurance!

Here he is sporting his poodle leg!
