Just picked up little boy today 13 weeks old.
He's very confident and straight on to exploring.
Not had a kitten for a while what do you do with them at night?

I left mine in the kitchen with a bed & all nessesities.

It was a very traumatic journey home though & I was ready to throttle him though. He was safer down there.

Fluffycloudland77 · 17/01/2018 20:05

Overuse of "though"

Notasperfectasallothermners · 17/01/2018 20:05

You cuddle them.
Simple.
And yabu to post without pics!!

Fozzleyplum · 17/01/2018 20:08

Not telling until you post pics.

dementedpixie · 17/01/2018 20:09

At first mine were left in the kitchen at night. As they got older they got the run of the house. I got 2 though so they were company for each other

softkittywarmkitty28 · 17/01/2018 20:32

Kitchen here is blinking freezing - no heating and a vent that lets all the cold in

dementedpixie · 17/01/2018 20:35

Have you got another room you could use instead. I chose kitchen as the floor was easy to clean

retirednow · 17/01/2018 20:38

You know you will be up all night worrying so why not just make up a cosy box in your bedroom then you can take keep an eye on him. Has he used his litter box yet. He is lovely.

mirren3 · 17/01/2018 20:51

Those eyes! You could send him to me at night. He's going to be one stunning boy. Enjoy him.

Fluffycloudland77 · 17/01/2018 21:12

He is a stunning little lad. Have you got an upstairs room he can sleep in?.

Hook your blind loops up, we still hook ours up so he can't strangle himself.

softkittywarmkitty28 · 17/01/2018 21:34

Good tip about the blinds, ok could put him in my room, he's happy using the litter box and has done both wee and poo so far.
Has eaten well and explored behind everything

softkittywarmkitty28 · 17/01/2018 21:34

No need to set your alarm in the morning, I am sure he'll wake you up at 4am😀

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 17/01/2018 23:24

No advice, sorry. I don't do kittens. I only coo at them. Grin.
He's ridiculously adorable.
Does he have a name.

softkittywarmkitty28 · 18/01/2018 07:00

retired you were right it was 4.15 when he woke me haha he seems to think my head is a climbing frame
Yes he's called bailey.

4am is standard cat get up time here too.

dementedpixie · 18/01/2018 07:48

Sometimes one of mine comes in and yowls for no reason at 4am but not too often thankfully

LittleCandle · 18/01/2018 07:50

So gorgeous! I haven't had a kitten in 9 years, but after the initial couple of weeks (due to XH still being home), kitten came to bed with me. Before that, he had partial run of the house. I needed the doors to be open so i could hear the kids.

softkittywarmkitty28 · 18/01/2018 08:16

He had the run of the house too, it's all open plan downstairs apart from the kitchen which is too cold for him.
Can't believe how quickly he's settled actually. He is obsessed with the bath and shower if anyone is using it

OP posts:
BulletFox · 19/01/2018 10:08

He is so lovely :)

softkittywarmkitty28 · 19/01/2018 22:50

Is it normal for him to be obsessed with water, keeps getting in the shower when I'm in there and today wouldn't leave the bath alone and fell in a few times or wanted to sit on the edge with his paws in

OP posts:
sportyfool · 19/01/2018 23:18

My boys are 7 months , I put them on my bed from night one , I let the toilet light on downstairs with their litter tray in but they were fine .
I want them to be cuddly so shutting them downstairs didn't seem right to me .

sportyfool · 19/01/2018 23:19

Mine love the sinks and showers , is he Maine coon?

Make sure you keep the toilet lids down!
