Overeating being sick

Ladybelle is very small and the complete opposite of our last cat. He would eat three pouches a day plus biscuits and treats and go off hunting for more
Ladybelle is hungry but over eats and is then sick. This was worse over Xmas as we fed her more as we were at home more and the sickness increased
Just looking for tips on how much yo feed and to stop the vomit.

We have a small cat (just under 3kg). She has a tendency to eat too quickly, and then occasionally brings the food back up.

Morning: 30g of dry food, in a dispenser ball to stop her eating too fast.

Evening: 1 pouch of wet food, mixed with a spoonful of water to stop her eating too fast.

You might need to try several small meals a day. Or try different brands of food to see which she keeps down.

Thanks will definitely give these a go.

I have one that does this. Had to switch her dry to James wellbeloved turkey and rice only
One she rarely pukes as not too fatty or rich. She then has cooked chicken and half a pouch of felix as good as it looks in jelly. Jelly is better than the gravy nothing too rich. Also try a raised bowl or a puzzle feeder for dry

Our cats did this shortly after we moved house. Caused purely by eating far too fast. We got them a bigger kibble for a while that couldn't be vacuumed, but the only brand that seemed to do this was Whiskers so they are now back on their normal Orijen as the Whiskers is junk really. Now we are on small, more frequent meals and keeping them better separated - big cat otherwise gobbles all his food and then all small cats food or she gobbles to try and eat first. I'd like to try a ball dispenser but I think it would drive the dog crazy.

Just woken up to 2 more loads of sick . ... think I'm going to have to go the vets. We have only had her since October and at a guess think have had 15 plus incidents ...

I’m interested in following this as having similar problems. My cat was being sick a couple of times a day over the Christmas period. We’ve just gone 2 days with no problems. I resorted to feeding smaller amounts, more frequently. Useful advice about changing the cat food.

Cut back on food sticking with minimal dry and meat pouches . Brushing her with a cat brush and since my last post no sick.

Touching wood and keeping fingers crossed
Thanks for the helpful words

Ladybelle is a sweet name. Is there a pic of her on here?

My cat was always doing this but has massively reduced since I bought him a slow food bowl. It is basically a plastic bowl with obstacles built into it to stop the gulping. It is designed for dogs and I got it from Amazon. Definitely worth a try.
