Possible skin allergy in my cat

Sorry to post again but the last few days my two year old has had white dandruff flakes and scratching herself. Eating normally at last tho thanks to some ideas here. Anyway spoke to vet and hes taken fur from her with the dandruff type flakes and said she probably has a skin condition which would require steroid treatment. Hes ringing me tomorrow but forgot to ask whats the rough cost of the course of steroids please and any other treatment combined with the steroids. Just for the record its no problem the cost i just need a vague cost. Many thanks

Not sure on the steroids alone. One of mine had a steroid shot which, along with a flea treatment for both of them, was £55. So I think the steroid was about £35.

One of mine has a couple of chronic health problems, one of which requires the occasional shot of steroids to manage flare-ups, my vet charges around the £40 mark for the shot.

She also has an undefined allergy that causes really bad dermatitis, that is managed with a daily antihistamine. Costs about £6 for two months’ supply.

Thankyou for replies. He checked sample and some kind of eczema and she will get a steroid injection friday that last 6 weeks.
As she was flead last friday with the advocate he said would just be £22.50 for the shot i think thats quite good.

So my cat had her vet visit today and vet specialises in skin problems. He looked at her and said nothing concerning at all. But due to her scratching given her a short working steroid injection and just to monitor her so all good
