Suffering from eco guilt

I generally use plastic bags to scoop out clumped up bits of litter each day, but it occurs to me that that is a very BAD THING in terms of my contribution to the sea of plastic that ends up in the oceans killing wildlife etc. Wondering about finding a greener solution - does anyone know if there is such a thing as a biodegradable plastic bag? I usually recycle mine, but clearly can't when full of cat litter.....

You can get bio bags in Lidl that are used for food waste. We use these for the cat litter.

You can get biodegradable nappy sacks or food waste bags (the sort that you use to line a food waste caddy). Think I used to order mine from ocado.

Use a scoop and put the scoopings in newspaper?

Bags for the waste food bin are biodegradable, if you look out for them in the supermarket.

You can get biodegradable dog poop bags from Pets at home.

Brilliant - many thanks everyone. I have clearly been living in the dark ages. Will get hold of some of these bags.

I bet amazon do huge packs of brown paper bags.

Sometimes I scoop into the bin if it's nearly full.

I use a bucket and scoop into that. It gets tipped straight into the outside bin and washed out.
