Help me name our black kitten

Just that really. We've had her three weeks but nothing has stuck so far.

She's tiny, smoochy and likes to climb up us.

She also has tabby stripes under her black but I've read she may grow out of these.

Any ideas?

Myrtle comes to mind - not sure how that happened. She's beautiful, as are all the lovely black kitties.

Shadow was on our shortlist before. I guess it could be shortened to Shay. She does have a permanently scared look. And is very clumsy as the scratches on my neck reveal!

I read DD all these names and we ended up trialling Panda at the weekend. It didn't seem to work so now we are trying Mystery/Misty

Awww she is adorable. This is my black beauty, Samra. It's an Arabic term referring to dark complexion her mother was called Shadow, she was also all black. Luna sounds lovely, but you said it didn't work with your DD.

Luna. Latin for Moon and also handy if she is a bit crazy.

She looks exactly like my Mildred. She's also virtually impossible to photograph!

We had a rather stressful weekend with the kitten. DH came rushing through to wake me up on Sat am telling me the kitten had cut herself. We were lucky to get an emergency vet appointment. Vet removed the red wax skin of a babybel which was mashed into the fur of her arm with scissors and laughed at DH who is a doctor and should know what the insides of a mammal look like.
