What if your cat is poorly and you are due to go on holiday? ?

Can anyone give me any advice here, I know there probably isn’t an answer. Cat has loose stools, I’m having to wash her bum after she does one and it’s always after eating. I got some gastro intestinal food from vet yesterday so hoping this will work but so far it’s the same.
We are due to go on holiday in ten days for a week, what if she is still poorly? I can’t be asking the neighbour to wash her bum and she can’t be left with wet poo all over her fur! Poor thing! Help!!

There isn't really an answer. May be employ a professional cat sitter who could be paid extra for bum washing and could be trusted to take the cat back to the vet if necessary. Ten days is quite a while though. Hopefully things will have resolved one way or another before then. But maybe start make enquiries of cat sitters now just in case.

I think it ten days it will be fine. If you have had her checked by the vet have you tried taking her food away after shes eaten for a few hours so she cant graze? Then just give her plain chicken for a couple of feeds? Mine seems to be better having dobe that. Also watch what you are washing her bum with. Im sure those wipes made mine worse.

Some vets run a cattery service - perhaps they would be in a better position to keep on eye on her health?

you need someone to cat sit at your house really.
But you have 10 days, would expect her to be better unlessit is somethign more serious.

I’d go for a cattery. In my experience they are pretty good at managing health issues and the reassurance I get from using them is worth the money.

I'd look for a professional cat sitter. Mine is a vet nurse so I know he's in good hands.

If she still has diaorhoea in ten days I would be extrememly worried!

Have you taken her to the vets to get checked out, they may be able to give her some medication?
