Wet vs Dry food?

I apologise if this has been done a million times.
We have 15 week old tonkinese kittens and they are on half a pouch of wet food each two-three times a day with dry food down all day. Plus water.
Is there a good dry food that they can eat all the time- with only wet as a weekly/ fortnightly treat??

Oh my they are gorgeous!
Sorry no advice on food but couldn't go past them.
My Siamese kitty is on wet food and a dry food for snacking

Kibobear · 20/09/2017 09:20

Sorry I meant to say wet food morning and night (so one pouch per day total) dry food available all the time.

They're lovely OP!

I've heard lots of different opinions on the wet vs dry debate, I was told though that wet is better especially for neutered males as it gets more fluid into them and reduces the risk of urinary blockages. Some cats aren't brilliant at drinking water so need to get get more hydration via their food, which obviously only works with wet food. Other people I know have been told that dry is better for cats' teeth!

I feed both wet and dry to hedge my bets Grin

Applaws is a good, if a little pricey, dry food, high meat content and no grains/cereals which (cats don't always digest well). They do a kitten food.

Thanks kibo and tonic.
Will try Applaws!!

You have beautiful cats.

My prefer dry over wet, and they've been on Applaws. It's good as dry food goes. They then moved onto Orijen, also good, kinds pricey. They've just started on Purizon which they can't seem to get enough of - they LOVE it. Sorry to use the word 'moist' , but that's the only way to describe it. Again, good quality Italian food. A lot of the continental foods seem to be better than English ones. Have a look on Zooplus.

My Oriental has just had several teeth removed and the vet suggested a dry diet would be better for his teeth. I'm trying him on a dental James Wellbeloved that both cats seem to like. I am still putting some wet food down though as the other cat has perfect teeth and really relishes her food!
Your kittens are gorgeous.
